Privacy Policy

This notice covers the learning website operated under the name Orchid Research. Mobile apps linked from this website can have different providers and privacy practices; read the relevant store listing and app-specific policies. For privacy questions, correction or deletion requests, contact Karan Gupta, Grievance Officer, at hello@orchidresearch.in with the subject “Privacy request”.

Information handled by this website

Theme preference: your chosen light or dark theme is stored only in this browser under orchid-theme. Without an explicit choice, the site follows the device colour preference. This setting is not sent to our server. You can remove it through your browser’s site-data settings.
Learning progress: completed lesson identifiers are stored in your browser using localStorage under orchid-lessons. This feature does not create an account or send your progress to our server.
Calculator inputs: educational worksheet values are processed in the browser tab and are not sent to our server.
Technical information: our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request timestamps and access/security logs to deliver and protect the website.
Contact requests: the callback form sends your first name, last name, phone number and, if provided, email and gender directly to our AutomateCRM enquiry service to manage your request and route it to our team. Support tickets also send your title, description, name and mobile number to AutomateCRM. Our website securely forwards form submissions to the CRM to confirm receipt. We use these details to respond to your enquiry or support request. If you email us, we receive the details you choose to provide and use them to answer your request. Do not send passwords, PAN, Aadhaar, bank credentials or OTPs.
Market ticker: an embedded TradingView widget connects your browser to TradingView and its data providers to display quotes. Those providers receive technical details such as your IP address and browser information, and may use their own cookies or storage under their policies. You can hide the scrolling ticker; quote links remain available. With reduced motion enabled, it starts hidden and loads only if you choose to show it.
Channel content: our configured Telegram channel sends posts and edits to a private review queue. Manually approved text can be displayed publicly for up to 72 hours from its original publication. Personal information should not be included in channel submissions intended for publication.
Private dashboard: administrator decisions and notes are stored with the relevant draft. The access key is held in tab memory; it is not saved to browser localStorage.

Form agreement and contact preferences

The callback and support forms require an affirmative request-specific agreement to the Terms and acknowledgement of this notice. It is not permission for unrelated promotional communications. You may ask us to stop further contact about your enquiry or exercise privacy requests through hello@orchidresearch.in. Applicable DND and statutory rights remain in effect. See the communication terms.

Why information is used

We use information to deliver lessons, remember progress on your device, answer support and privacy requests, review channel updates, maintain security and meet applicable legal obligations. This learning site does not include advertising pixels or audience analytics scripts, and does not sell personal information.

Cookies and browser storage

The learning-progress feature uses localStorage, rather than a tracking cookie. Hosting access protection may use essential authentication or security cookies. We do not add our own marketing pixels. The third-party market widget may use provider cookies and browser storage; see TradingView’s Privacy Policy.

Service providers and external sites

TradingView supplies the embedded market ticker under its own privacy and market-data terms. Vercel hosts the site and provides access protection. Upstash stores private channel drafts and review records. Telegram supplies channel content. If an administrator enables AI screening, post text is sent to OpenAI for screening; AI screening is optional. AutomateCRM processes submitted callback details and supports internal lead assignment. Our email provider processes support messages. Providers may process information outside India under their applicable arrangements. Links to Telegram and other external websites are governed by those services’ policies.

Retention and security

Learning progress stays on your device until you clear it or your browser removes it. Active channel drafts and review notes are configured to expire 72 hours after original publication; legacy drafts receive expiry or cleanup when scanned. This period does not describe Telegram’s retention, provider logs or backups. Correspondence and technical records are retained as reasonably needed for support, security, legal obligations and dispute handling; provider-specific retention also applies.

We use access controls and encrypted connections, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us promptly if you suspect exposure of personal information.

Your requests and choices

You can clear browser progress, choose not to contact us, and request access, correction or deletion of personal information we handle, withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent, or review of a privacy grievance, subject to applicable law and necessary retention. Email hello@orchidresearch.in; we may ask for proportionate verification, but not your account password or OTP. Rights and procedures under Indian data protection law apply according to the provisions in force.

Children and changes

These lessons are general educational material. We do not operate child accounts, behavioral advertising or paid enrolment on this site. A parent or guardian should contact us about personal information concerning a child. Before introducing enrolment, profiling or additional data collection, we will review the relevant safeguards and update this notice.
